²⁶ This word of the Lord then came to me: ²⁷ Son of man, the house of Israel is saying, “The vision that this man relates is meant to be fulfilled in the far distant future.” ²⁸ Therefore say to them, “Thus says the Lord God: The fulfillment of my words will not be delayed any longer. What I have said will be done now. This is the word of the Lord God.”
